Alain & Emily's Wedding in Franklin, Vermont
A rustic Vermont wedding in Franklin — old barns, green fields, and a couple who brought two cultures together with warmth, humor, and heart.
A Rustic Wedding in Franklin, Vermont
On August 15, we traveled up to Vermont to photograph Alain and Emily's wedding. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the setting — endless green fields, beautiful farms, old barns and vintage tractors that created the perfect mix of rustic charm and countryside elegance.
The Couple
What made this wedding truly special was the couple themselves. Alain and Emily were incredibly warm, positive, and open to every idea we had. They trusted us completely, were happy to experiment with photos, dance, laugh, and simply enjoy the moment. Their chemistry made photographing them feel effortless.
Two Cultures, One Ceremony
The ceremony was intimate, emotional, and full of warmth. One of the details we loved most was the way their two cultures came together. Alain is originally from Africa, so parts of the ceremony were held in English and parts in his native language. Emily had even learned some of his language for him, which made the moment especially meaningful.
The Whole Day
Throughout the entire day, it was obvious how much thought, effort, and heart they had put into their wedding. They treated us with so much kindness and made us feel genuinely welcome.
The Point
It was one of those weddings that feels less like work and more like being invited into someone's story. I'm so happy we had the chance to capture theirs.
